Route Overview
This scenic touring route connects Iyo City and Nagahama (in Ozu City), located in Ehime Prefecture along National Route 378.
Known as the “Yuyake Koyake Line,” it stretches about 50 km and runs right along the Seto Inland Sea.
The route is especially famous for its stunning sunsets, with the sky and sea glowing in orange hues—just like a postcard scene.
Recommended Section
The stretch between Shimonada Station in Futami and Nagahama Bridge is the highlight.
You’ll ride right beside the shoreline, with uninterrupted sea views on your right and gentle curves that make for a relaxed ride.
It’s usually not crowded, making it ideal for a peaceful seaside cruise.
Road Conditions and Safety Tips
The road is about 5 to 6 meters wide, with generally smooth pavement.
Be mindful of tight curves and sections where sea spray may make the road slippery.
Riding at sunset can result in strong glare, so sunglasses or a tinted visor are recommended.
