Route Overview
The Kujukuri Toll Road is a scenic seaside route running about 10 km along Kujukuri Beach in eastern Chiba Prefecture. Also known as the Naminori Doro (“Surfing Road”), it offers a refreshing ride with views of the Pacific Ocean. It provides easy access to popular spots for surfing and swimming, making it a favorite for both leisure drivers and motorcyclists.

This stretch runs closest to the coastline, offering open views and fresh ocean air. On clear days, you can see the vast Pacific. Sunset rides are especially beautiful.
Road Conditions & Safety
- The entire road is a two-way, single-lane route with smooth pavement.
- Watch your speed—there are speed checks.
- Traffic increases in summer, so early mornings or evenings are smoother.
- In case of typhoons or high tides, the road may close—check ahead.

- Katakai Beach: Calm waters and perfect for summer swimming.
