Route Overview
The Chausuyama Kogen Road is a scenic route in Toyone Village, Aichi Prefecture.
It connects National Route 151 to Chausuyama Highland and is about 12 km long.
This mountain road climbs to around 1,200 meters above sea level.
It is one of the highest roads in Aichi and is known for its peaceful nature and cool air.
You can enjoy beautiful views in every season—pink moss phlox in spring, fresh green in summer, colorful leaves in autumn, and snow in winter.
Recommended Drive Section
The best part is from “Omenoki IC” to the “Chausuyama Highland Ski Area.”
This area has smooth curves and gentle hills.
You can drive between forests and fields.
On summer days, the air is fresh and cool.
At the end of the road, there is a large parking area and a nice view.
Road Condition & Safety
The road is fully paved and wide enough for cars and bikes.
It is safe and easy to drive.
However, because of the high altitude, fog may appear—especially in the morning or evening.
From December to March, you may need snow tires or chains due to snow and ice.
125cc or smaller bikes and bicycles can use this road.
