Route Overview
The Bandai Azuma Gold Line is a scenic 17.6 km mountain road that runs between Inawashiro Town and Bandai Town in Fukushima Prefecture. It winds along the western slopes of Mt. Bandai, offering breathtaking views of lush beech forests, volcanic landscapes, and beautiful lakes. This route is perfect for a relaxing drive or scenic ride.

We recommend driving from Inawashiro to Bandai Town. On the ascent, you’ll see Mt. Bandai ahead; on the descent, you’ll enjoy wide views of the lakes in the Urabandai area. The area around Nakatsugawa Gorge is especially famous for its fall foliage.
