About me

Who I Am

Hi, I’m Ryu. I’m based in Japan and currently 41 years old.
I used to ride Yamaha Virago 250 and 400 during my student days — the 250 was my cousin’s, but I loved it.

Since then, I haven’t been on a bike for years…
But yesterday, I suddenly decided to start riding again.
And just like that, I started building this website too.
Yes, I’m that kind of intuitive person.

From now on, I want to explore Japan through motorcycling — for the rest of my life.
If I can meet some friends to join me on this journey, that would be amazing.

Thanks for stopping by!

Why I Ride

It’s been a long time since I last rode a motorcycle.

Now, at 41, I’ve decided to return to riding.
I haven’t gotten a bike yet — but the decision is made.
Something inside me said: “It’s time.”

This is just the beginning.
And I believe it’s never too late to start something new.

What This Site Is About

This site is for people who dream of riding through Japan — whether you’re a beginner, an overseas rider, or someone starting later in life like me.

I share scenic touring routes, practical tips, and small local discoveries you won’t find in the guidebooks.
It’s not just about bikes — it’s about freedom, discovery, and connection.

I’m still learning, and this site grows with me.

Message to You

Thank you so much for visiting this site!

Whether you’re already riding, planning a motorcycle trip in Japan, or just wondering what it’s like to explore this country on two wheels —
I hope this site gives you some ideas, inspiration, or even the spark to start your own journey.

Someday, we might even ride together.

I haven’t gotten my next bike yet.
But I believe that’s part of the adventure, too.

Until the day I finally welcome my new bike,
I’ll keep researching touring routes and spending my days dreaming of the road ahead.

Once I do get the bike,
I’ll be sharing photos, route maps, and travel stories here.
If you’re curious about motorcycle touring in Japan, feel free to drop by anytime!
